Is one of your dear friends expecting a ba ba baby? Throw the mom-to-be and her little lamb a dreamy lamb-themed baby shower full of soft and warm touches. Our lamb baby shower decorations are gender neutral for the parents who don’t yet know if their baby is a boy or a girl — or who want to keep it a secret.
Read on for sheep baby shower decor, food, and entertainment ideas:
Decor:
- Start out with some adorable lamb-patterned shower decorations like balloons, a tissue paper centerpiece, banners, and paper lanterns. Our Ba Ba Baby line features a sweet and sleepy baby lamb who is resting on a cloud — too cute! Accent the lamb-patterned decorations with ivory, brown, and gold coordinating solids.
- Tie as much yarn into your decor as possible! Set around baskets of yarn balls and create centerpieces made of yarn pom-pom flowers. So appropriate for a sheep baby shower! Create yarn-wrapped letters spelling out the baby’s name, if the parents already know it. If they don’t know it, spell out “baby” instead.
- Also set around vases of baby’s breath. The delicate, soft, and cloud-like appearance of the flower fits with Ba Ba Baby shower decorations perfectly.
Food:
- Think light and delicate food for this baby lamb shower theme. Bake up soft and puffy sugar cookies that are shaped as sheep and ice them with white vanilla icing.
- Buy white cotton candy and serve single portions in clear martini glasses. Or, rent a cotton candy machine and make it fresh for your guests. They’ll love this cloud-like sweet treat!
- Also serve white popcorn balls. If you want, individually wrap them in baggies so your guests can take them home if they wish.
- Set out a display of white desserts, such as white macarons, powdered sugar donuts holes, and marshmallow pops. Provide candy boxes so your guests can take home shower food to munch on later!
- Mix up some frothy white punch to drink! To make this, heat and mix one cup water and two cups sugar in a saucepan until the sugar is dissolved. Add 12 ounces of evaporated milk and one tablespoon almond extract and allow the mixture to cool and chill. When it’s party time, combine the mixture with a two liter of lemon-lime soda and a half gallon of vanilla ice cream scoops. Yum!
- Serve all of the food with cute lamb-patterned plates, napkins, and cups.
Entertainment:
- As guests arrive, give each one a Ba Ba Baby Shower Bingo board. Instruct the guests to write in each square a gift that they believe the mom-to-be will receive. As she opens her gifts, guests should put bingo pieces on the items that they correctly guessed. When they get five in a row they should shout, “ba ba bingo!” Keep playing until all the gifts are open. Maybe someone will fill up their entire playing board!
- Instead of Name that Tune, play Name that Lullaby. Create a playlist of classic — and more difficult — lullabys. Have guests write down their guesses and whoever has the most correct wins.
- For another game, give each guest a sheet of nursery rhyme lines, but with words or phrases missing. Have the guests fill in the blanks and whoever has the most correct wins.
- Send the game winners home with soft wool socks, a mix of dinner mints and Jordan almonds, and pretty wool scarves!
This easy-breezy party theme is just darling for a sweet baby shower. Do you have any sheep baby shower ideas? Let us know in the comments!
